Meta Information on the Ignite Builder.

What Meta is Composed Of.

Meta Information is the most important thing that you can do for any website, blog, hub, etc... I like to think of Meta as your identity in the sense that if you don't have Meta then you could be deported or in internet lingo you could be stricken to the dark depths of the lower pages of the search engine. You might have noticed before but every time you type something into a search engine you see an entire list of related sites and what you're seeing is meta information. If a site is trying to market for wooden swings then that is what you're going to see because they've purposely given themselves the identity of wooden swings. Refer to the diagram below for more information.

META TITLE: white boards, dry erase easels | www.whiteboardoffice.com

META DESCRIPTION: For the best white boards and dry erase easels come to www.whiteboardoffice.com for extremely low prices & high quality products!

META KEYWORDS: white boards, dry erase easels, dry erase calendars

Title: Include at least two of your main keyword phrases and your domain name

Description: Include at least two of your main keyword phrases and an incentive

Keywords: Just re-stating your main keywords or tags (some sites will say tags)

Step 1 Instructions (For those Using the Ignite Builder)

When using the Ignite Builder you should always review the RESOURCES tab on your dashboard but since there is no Meta information I decided to help you out. The top of this article shows you how to add your meta information and at the bottom of the article you'll find exact information that you need to include in your meta information.

STEP 1: Opening your Ignite Builder

Usually the builder will be something like http://firstandlastname.ignitebuilder.com/admin so make sure that you're using the correct URL to access your page. If you don't have the URL then get a hold of one of your coaches so they can help you log in.

Step 2 in adding your meta information

Now that you've clicked on MY WEBSITE you'll need to transition into the next step by hoovering your mouse over HOME and clicking on EDIT.

Step 2 Instructions

Make sure that you clicked on MY WEBSITE because that is where you'll need to go in order to edit your meta information. Once you've clicked on MY WEBSITE then you'll see what we deem as the SECTION MANAGER which in other builds is known as the page dashboard. You'll be able to edit all of your pages including:

  • Home
  • Visitor Login
  • Blog
  • 404 Error Page
  • Terms of Use
  • Privacy Statement
  • FAQ Page
  • Contact Us Page

Step 3 in adding your meta information

Make sure that you click on EDIT after hoovering over the HOME tab. This will take you to your template page (or home page). Now you need to click on MORE PAGE SETTINGS in the top left side of the page.

Step 3 Instructions

HOOVER your mouse over the HOME page icon on the Section Manager until you see an option that says EDIT on the right hand side of the HOME page icon. CLICK on EDIT and it'll take you to the next step. In the next step we'll enter our meta information!

Step 4 in adding meta information

Once you're on this page you'll see the distinct boxes at the top of the screen where you can enter your Meta Title, meta description, and meta keywords.

Step 4 Instructions

This last step is very easy because all we have to do is click on MORE PAGE SETTINGS which is an option that is located in the top left hand side of the page.

Yes you can upload as many pictures as you'd like to the Ignite Builder. Unfortunately you aren't able to upload more than one at a time. You'll have to go through and upload images one at a time until you've reached the desired amount needed for your website.

Is there a way to upload multiple pictures using the ignite builder?
